HOW DO I OBTAIN A BUILDING PERMIT?
 To obtain a building permit, you must complete an application and submit construction plans, including the following:
Assessor’s Parcel Number for the property.
Owner’s name and mailing address need to be on plans.
Contractor’s name and Workman’s Compensation coverage or Owner-Builder Form (if applicable)
Three (3) complete sets of structural plans including structural and energy calculations.
Three (3) complete plot plans for the property.
The structural plans will be reviewed. When any required corrections to the plans are approved and any required approvals from other agencies received, the building permit will be issued.

HOW MUCH DOES A PERMIT COST?
Permit fees are based on the size of the entire project. For specific cost information please contact the Building Division at (949) 248-3594
